Empowering individuals to thrive in Silicon Valley

Goodwill improves lives in Silicon Valley by empowering people to achieve independence and reach their potential through education, employment, and individual development.

Your Donations and Purchases Are Changing Lives

A CENTURY OF SERVICE

For nearly 100 years, Goodwill of Silicon Valley has been your local non-profit committed to helping people overcome barriers to employment. With 18 thrift stores, an online marketplace, an innovative reuse and recycling operation, and our Contract Services division, we continue to reduce waste, protect the environment, and create opportunities that transform lives and communities.

WHY DONATE OR SHOP AT GOODWILL?

Finding jobs for individuals facing employment barriers is complex, but with your support, the solution is simple.

Unlike major for-profit thrift chains, every donation and purchase at Goodwill of Silicon Valley directly supports our mission, not shareholders. When you shop or give, you’re funding no-cost job training, reentry support, and housing assistance for people in our community – empowering them to achieve economic independence while easing the burden on public resources.

By reselling and recycling your gently used items, we turn potential waste into meaningful opportunity. Proceeds directly support economic mobility for veterans, the unhoused, formerly incarcerated individuals, people with disabilities, and others often excluded from the job market.

Together, we’re building a more inclusive and sustainable Silicon Valley.
