Wellness Center

The Goodwill Wellness Center is a mental health clinic offering a wide range of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to youth and adults who have been marginalized due to poverty, mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness. Services are provided by psychology trainees to individuals and families who are referred through community-based agencies.

Referring Agencies and Patients

Psychotherapy is offered to individuals who suffer from mental illness, anxiety, depression, history of trauma, losses, behavioral problems and substance abuse or addiction.

Psychological assessment is offered to individuals who seek help in applying for Government Assistance or SSDI.

Integrated psychotherapy and addiction counseling is offered to individuals who are struggling with addiction or a dual diagnosis of addiction and mental illness.

Students

The clinic is based on psychology practicum students and post-doctoral students, who are interested in community mental health, working with a diversity of diagnoses from a psychodynamic perspective.

We offer 1 hour of group supervision, 2 hours of didactic training, and 1 hour of individual supervision per week. There is an option of receiving additional supervision from other delegated supervisors at the clinic. A minimum of 16 hours per week commitment is required, 24 hours commitment is preferred.
