“Generations of Change”
The 2010 Eco Chic Fall Fashion Show
Benefitting Goodwill of Silicon Valley
Production by Helium Magazine
Friday, October 8th, 2010
At the Marriott Hotel in Downtown San Jose
The second annual Eco Chic Fashion Show will feature an earthly cool cocktail
party, fabulous signature dinner and — of course — the show! As they take the
catwalk, you might recognize some of the VIP models as members of families
who helped to shape Silicon Valley.
If you were at last year’s show, you saw how imagination turned high-end
donations into edgy cocktail dresses, exquisite goddess gowns, and one-of-a-
kind couture outfits designed to make a fashion statement.
This fall, we will take a journey to the past to see what inspired us through
Generations of Change... Then, we will move to the present, where talented
designers will re-fashion brand name and vintage Little Black Dresses. The
dresses will be shown with incredible hats made by Melissa Bolin of Kitty
Andrews Millinery and will be up for Live Auction after the show... Finally, we will
explore the future of fashion as young designers from San Jose to San Francisco
face off in a challenge to show the best of Eco-Street wear and Eco-Evening
wear.
If you’re interested in participating in one or more of these challenges, click on the
links on the sidebar at left to download the appropriate application.
Our judges, including Matthew Mountford, Editor of Helium Magazine, will award
three trophies for Best Little Black Dress, Best Eco-Street Design and Best Eco-
Evening wear.
Lori Fox and Susan Lucas will co-chair the event and promise to impress and
inspire fashionistas of all ages to go green.
Scroll down to the EventBrite window below to reserve your tickets! (Or download
the ticket request form to its left.)
You can also put together a table ($1500 for a table of 10). Table Ambassadors
who send in their paid reservations will enjoy priority seating and will be invited
to the Preview Party where they can have first choice of the designer sale items.
